Two Washington state powerhouses, Bellevue and Skyline, faced off on September 7th in a game that quickly shifted to Bellevue’s favor.
Bellevue, currently sitting in 19th in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings, got things started early in the first quarter when Budda Baker rushed in 12-yard run on fourth down. Later in that quarter, junior Sam Richmond ran 65-yards into the endzone.
The second quarter did not slow down the Wolverines. Marek Spooner-Leduff and Budda Baker both tallied on two 45+ rushing touchdowns followed by a 3-yard rush by Max Richmond.
In a slower second half, Bellevue managed 10 points to Skyline’s 7 points to bring the game to an end at 45-7.
Bellevue’s greatest display throughout the game was their depth in the running back position. All six of the Wolverines’ touchdowns were rushing scores. Those touchdowns were scored by five different running backs.
Now Bellevue prepare for their game against Bothell, a fellow Washington team. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM on September 13.
